Owners Sarah Tabak and Ben Eyres both trained at institution Daily Bread (Ben was the Head Pastry chef) and wanted to create a no-frills bakery, where locals could nostalgically indulge in Kiwi classics that have been revisited (and improved!).
The Hot Cross Buns are already praised as some of the best the city has to offer, but we recommend you don't sleep on their pies (the steak and cheese is an absolute must!), loaves and pastries.
In its short 3 months run, Beabea's has become a local favourite and, according to the queues, a destination for all who like bread ans patries.
